Anurag Kashyap‘s daughter Aaliyah Kashyap‘s wedding with American entrepreneur Shane Gregoire was filled with heartfelt moments. One such moment was when Shane became emotional and cried as Aaliyah walked down the aisle. While many brides-to-be began manifesting a similar emotional moment, Shane’s breakdown didn’t sit well with some people who criticised him. The doting father-in-law, Anurag Kashyap, came to Shane’s defence when a video of him getting emotional went viral. In the comments section, the filmmaker defended Shane against the negative comments. Anurag Kashyap said, “My son-in-law is just the most sensitive human being, and the way he loves my daughter is so special.” Slamming those who criticised the gesture, he added, “So everyone who thinks it is a trend or he is doing it to go viral. Can take a hike. I could not have wished for a better son-in-law. I am not half as good as a father the way Shane is to Aaliyah.”
Aaliyah Kashyap and Shane Gregoire got married on December 11. During the wedding festivities, Anurag Kashyap seemed the happiest. In one of the snaps from the couple’s haldi ceremony, Anurag was seen giving a hug to his son-in-law Shane.
At Aaliyah and Shane’s mehendi night, Anurag Kashyap truly stole the show with his dance moves, setting goals for fathers and fathers-in-law everywhere. In a video that went viral, Anurag was seen matching steps with Aaliyah to the catchy beats of Gallan Goodiyaan.
